  Visit your bank to transfer your accounts and clean out your safety deposit box. 
  Have your automobile(s) serviced, especially if you’re driving to your new town.
  
  
  One week before: 
  Confirm your travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, rental cars etc. 
  Prepare your appliances for the move: take the glass tray out of the microwave, empty and clean your fridge and freezer (at least one day in advance).
  Put together a “Trip Kit” for moving day. A great sanity saver, your trip kit might include snacks, games, and essentials you might need if your good are caught in transit.
